Kidney Transplant Center Reaches Major Milestone

On June 12, Providence St. Joseph Hospital Kidney Transplant Center officially reached 100 transplants in a fiscal year for the first time, nearly doubling the number from the previous year. Reaching 100 kidney transplants in a fiscal year is an extraordinary achievement and a testament to our dedicated team members who have worked tirelessly to reach this milestone.

This year, we also celebrate the 50th anniversary of our Kidney Transplant Program. Since our program first launched, we have performed over 1,200 kidney transplants. With the dedicated work of Yasir Qazi, MD, Robert Naraghi, MD, Ervin Ruzics, MD, and the team of nurses, dietitians, social workers, clinical program assistants and our quality coordinator, we expect to continue to grow and provide life-giving, life-enhancing opportunities to patients.
