Transplant Center Marks 100th Kidney Transplant Within a Single Year

In a year of significant milestones for our Transplant Center, I want to take a moment to recognize yet another remarkable achievement. Yesterday the team completed their 100th kidney transplant of the year.

Achieving this milestone is no small feat. It requires exceptional expertise, seamless coordination and remarkable skill. Reaching 100 transplants in one year is a testament to the dedication and proficiency of our entire team.

This accomplishment follows several other notable achievements this year:

·    For the second year, our Transplant Center is ranked #1 in California by the Scientific Registry of Transplant Recipients for speed of finding a donor and post-transplant survival rate.  

·    Earlier this fall, our transplant team successfully completed the center’s first dual kidney-pancreas transplant, establishing St. Joe’s as a multi-organ transplant hospital and significantly enhancing our ability to transform patients' lives.
