SJO Earns AHA Awards

Providence St. Joseph Hospital received the American Heart Association 2023 Get with the Guidelines - Stroke Gold Plus award for the second year in a row, ensuring stroke patients receive the most appropriate treatment using nationally recognized, research-based guide[1]lines. SJO also received the Association’s Target: Stroke Honor Roll Elite Plus award. Qualified hospitals meet measures to reduce time between the patient’s hospital arrival and treatment with the clot-buster tissue plasminogen activator to treat ischemic stroke. In addition, SJO received the Association’s Target: Type 2 Diabetes Honor Roll award for a second year in a row. Hospitals must meet quality measures developed with more than 90% compliance for 12 consecutive months for the “Over[1]all Diabetes Cardiovascular Initiative Composite Score.”
